Isabella and Gabriell Salgado during tech rehearsals for 4000 Miles at Palm Beach Dramaworks

Isabella Chang (she/her) is an internationally trained theater artist with a passion for adventure. Born and raised in northern New Jersey, Isabella fell in love with performing at a young age. She trained at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom, where she performed in various productions including a completely candlelit production of The Taming of the Shrew (Bianca) and an original musical: The Dishonourable and Daring Life of Joan Bracey (Joan Bracey). During her time in England, she completed a work placement with the prestigious Bristol Old Vic. She is especially proud to be heard as Sarah Siddons in the Women of Bristol Old Vic audio tour, performing Hamlet’s speech to the players.

After returning to the United States, Isabella was selected to be a member of Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s Emerging Professional Residency as an acting apprentice. After completing her residency, Isabella immediately went on to work with several theater companies across the country, including Sierra Repertory Theater and Palm Beach Dramaworks. She was recently recognized for her work as Shelby in Steel Magnolias at Sierra Rep, receiving an award for Best Performer in a Play for the Sacramento region.

Currently, Isabella is based in northern New Jersey (just a short ride from NYC). When she’s not on the stage, Isabella loves visiting her friends abroad and traveling to new places. She is a proud member of the Actors’ Equity Association.
